Railway employees protest over non-payment of salaries

Railway employees protest over non-payment of salaries. Employees arranged a protest due to non-payment of salaries in the month of Ramadan.

In a message, the workers who gathered at the Pakistan Railways’ Locomotive Shed said that they had not received their salaries from February and request the quick payment of their pay.

Last week, Divisional Superintendent (DS) railway also assured about the disbursement of the salaries, but the salaries were not pay out yet.

The employees said that those who were putting their lives at risk to renew the railway tracks were in a state of despair. Due to the strike, the departure of trains faced delays from Karachi.

Leading the protest, the PR administration held talk with the protesting employees which turn out fruitful.

Railway employees protest over non-payment of salaries. The DS Railway Athar Riaz said that once the train is moving, the railway will have revenue. He further confident the railway employees that the salaries disbursed soon.

In addition to that the DS said that the Karachi-Lahore Business Express train canceled while its passengers adjusted in Karachi Express.
