Rawalpindi Express teaser released. Tuesday saw the release of a teaser for the film “Rawalpindi Express – A Shoaib Akhtar Biopic,” which is based on the life of the former fast-bowler Shoaib Akhtar.
Shoaib Akhtar, however, had previously chosen not to take part in the film’s production. There have been rumors that Akhtar and the film’s creators are at odds in the legal realm. Instead of Umair Jaswal, who had previously withdrawn from the project, actor Mirza Gohar Rasheed will take on the role of the cricketing legend.
Shoaib Akhtar declared in January that he was cutting ties with the movie and its producers. Through the assistance of his management and legal teams, he terminated the contract.
He discussed “disagreements” and “contractual violations.” And even threatened to sue if anyone attempted to improperly use his name or life story.
When the movie was announced in July of last year, Shoaib Akhtar was very enthusiastic. But later, he added, “Unfortunately. I want to tell you all that after much deliberation. I’ve decided not to support the film “Rawalpindi Express” and its creators. With the assistance of my management and legal team, I terminated the contract.
