Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif arrives in London on Saturday to attend the funeral rites of Queen Elizabeth II.
David Gordon McLeod, the special representative of the British Foreign Minister, welcome the Prime Minister of Pakistan at the airport.
On Saturday, the Foreign Office spokesperson says in a statement that at the invitation of the British government, the Prime Minister will represent Pakistan in the official ceremonies of the late Queen Elizabeth II in London on September 19 during his visit to the UK.
After staying in the UK, the Prime Minister will leave for the United States to participate in the high-level discussions of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
According to the BBC, the Queen’s funeral will be held on September 19 at 11 a.m. local time. Which will be held in London’s historic Westminster Abbey. Where Britain’s kings and queens are also crowned.
Her funeral will conclude with a dirge followed by a two-minute national silence in her honor.
