Leading Pakistani actor Shan Shahid says that some actors are still silent against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Shan Shahid has taken to micro-blogging site Twitter to lash out at Muslim Indian artists for remaining silent on the blasphemous remarks of BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma.
He wrote in his tweet that “some actors are still silent against the BJP.”
“These are the people who used to say that the artist has no boundaries,” he wrote.
He wrote in a questioning manner, “Brother, there is no border, but it is a shame that he has also sold it.”
Shaan Shahid appealed, “Please raise your voice to condemn the hate speech against our Prophet (S.A.W.W).”
In another tweet, he shared photos of Muslim Indian actors Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan, who have ruled the Indian film industry for the past three decades, and wrote: The LAMSs silence on Sharma’s blasphemous statement.
It is to be noted that BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma had spoken insultingly on a TV channel in honor of Islam and the Holy Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.W).
On the other hand, India and abroad are expressing outrage over the blasphemous statement while the ‘Boycott India’ campaign was also launched in the Arab countries.
According to foreign media reports, Boycott India’s campaign has started in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
