Sheikh Rashid warns of bloodshed if transparent polls not held. Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, the leader of the Awami Muslim League (AML) and a former interior minister, issued a dire warning on Sunday: if free and fair elections not held in the nation, there will be bloodshed.
He wrote on his Twitter account that “transparent elections are the only solution to all problems faced by the country.”

Rashid advised the general populace to endure another month of inflation and hardships. “The new politics dawn in the country the day the assemblies dissolved,” he said.
The former interior minister warned that those who were arrogant about abusing their position of authority and violating the sanctity of the home would face consequences.
The AML leader continued, “Innocent people must released from prisons.”
He claimed that the IMF was visiting other people’s homes. Including that of the PTI chief, in order to obtain guarantees. Because it had lost faith in the current administration and its finance minister.
Rashid, who criticized the current administration, claimed that at least 20 million people had lost their jobs and that 100 million people had fallen into poverty. The default sword is hanging over Pakistan, he insisted, so lenders also need a loan repayment guarantee.
“This is the accomplishment of the [PML-N] government’s 15-month tenure. In a month, the PDM parties will be ready to draw their swords. Within the alliance, there will be a tug-of-war and a judo-karate (fight),” he said.
He asserted that the IMF had lost faith in the current administration and its finance minister and was now going to other people’s homes, including the PTI chief’s, to get guarantees.
