State Bank of Pakistan has issued a circular letter to bank heads on Branchless Banking Rules and Regulations.
State Bank has directed to strengthen money laundering and terrorist financing controls.
Maintain records of all transactions of branchless banking and agents, update hardware and software to improve control, according to State Bank.
State Bank has asked to strengthen the auto-monitoring system of transactions and review suspicious transactions under the Anti-Money Laundering Act, 2010.
