The famous pop singer of subcontinent Nazia Hassan’s 57th birthday will be celebrated on 3rd April.
Her fans will organize special celebrations in this regard. Presidential Award winner Nazia Hassan was born on 3rd April 1965 in Karachi.
Nazia Hassan reached the heights of fame at the age of just 15 in 1980 when she sang “Ap jesa koi meri zindagi mai aey, tou baat ban jaey” in the film “Qurbani” by renowned Indian film maker Feroz Khan.
Nazia Hassan has also worked in various programs and TV commercials on PTV.
Nazia Hassan, along with her brother Zohaib Hassan, introduced a new dimension to Pakistani music.
She introduced the western style of music in the 80’s which was very popular amoung Pakistani youth and abroad including India, USA, UAE, Latin America.
The Bulbul of Asia, Nazia Hassan’s popularity can be amount from the fact that today’s singers are also gaining fame by re-singing Nazia Hassan’s songs.
Nazia Hassan died on August 13, 2000 in a London hospital at the age of 35 from cancer.
Nazia Hassan has been awarded many prizes including Pride of Performance, Best female Playback Award, 15 Gold Discs.
