T20 World Cup: Irfan Pathan under fire after trolling Pakistan

Former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan has recently come under fire after mocking the Pakistani cricket team during the ongoing T20 World Cup in Australia.

On Wednesday, after Pakistan beat New Zealand by 7 wickets to book their place in the final of the tournament, Pathan writes on his Twitter account that even when Pakistan win the match, the team was “ruthless”.

“Padosiyon jeet ati jaati rehti hai, lekin GRACE apke bas ki baat nahi hai (neighbors, winning or losing is part of the game but maintaining grace is not your cup of tea),” the cricketer told Men in Green.

The tweet receives a lot of criticism. Shoaib Akhtar fire back with a sarcastic reply. He writes ” Aray kya ho gaya bro? kisi nay kuch kaha hai tou mujhy bata. Main dantoon ga, Promise.”

After receiving the backlash, Irfan tweeted again and clarified: “And it’s not for the player. Never.”

But when England beat India by 10 wickets on Thursday, Pakistani cricket fans – who were already frustrated by Pathan’s sarcastic tweets – left no stone unturned to troll him on social media..

After India’s out from the event Pakistani fans make memes of his tweet and take revenge for his taunt. Pakistani fans called him out for his immaturity.
