The United Kingdom (UK) called the arrest of Chairman PTI Imran Khan an internal matter of Pakistan.
British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said that Britain is carefully monitoring the situation in Pakistan.
He added that Britain supports peaceful democratic causes and we believe in the rule of law.
Earlier, on arrest of Imran Khan after UK Prime Minister US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that he has seen the reports regarding Pakistan. He wants to make sure that whatever happens in Pakistan is in accordance with the law and the constitution.

Apart from this, the Secretary General of the United Nations also appealed to the parties to refrain from violence and emphasized on respecting the rule of law and the right to peaceful assembly.
