The film ‘Joyland’ is facing ban in Punjab. The Punjab government stops the screening of the controversial film Joyland across the province.
According to the notification by the Punjab Information Department, the screening of the film ‘Joyland’ banned in view of the continuous complaints from various circles.
According to the notification, this ban will continue in Punjab until further notice.
It should note that earlier yesterday the Censor Board allow the film to be screened across the country after deleting some objectionable parts of one to two minutes.
The story of the film revolves around a young man and a transgender. They fall in love while working in a dance club.
The film already nominated for Oscar.

Directed by Saim Sadiq, the cast of this film includes Sarmad Khoosat, Sarwat Gilani, Alina Khan, Sohail Sameer, Salman Pir, Sania Saeed, Kanwal Khoosat, Zoya Ahsan, Sana Jafri and Qasim Abbas. While the music of the film is by Abdullah Siddiqui.
Produced by Sarmad Khoosat and Apoorva Charan, the film will release today (November 18) in other parts of the country.
Saeem Sadiq’s film also presented at the Cannes Film Festival in France in May this year.
