The Government Considering Providing Solar Panels in Easy Installments

The federal government has started considering providing solar panels to consumers in easy installments.

Federal Minister for Energy Khurram Dastgir has said that with the abolition of 17% GST on solar panels, a proposal to provide solar panels to consumers on easy installments is being considered.

During a press conference in Islamabad, Khurram Dastgir said that from next financial year, electricity will not be made expensive for consumers up to 200 units per month.

Khurram Dastgir said that uninterrupted power supply was being provided to the industrial sector and 600 MW power would be generated from the coal production plant.

He said that the shortfall of electricity in the country is currently close to 4000 MW, on June 15, 650 MW more power will come into the system, 1100 MW power will also come into the system from Nuclear Power Plant 2.
