‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ starring Fawad Khan and Hamza Ali Abbasi continues its record-breaking run at the global box office. It becomes the highest-grossing Punjabi film of all time in just four weeks of its international release.
Bilal Lashari is the director of the film Amara Hikmat is the producer. TLOMT takes the Indian competition by storm and surpasses the lifetime earnings of Punjabi films like Sonkan Sonkane, Chal Mera Put 2, and Carry On Jatta 2. With a worldwide box office gross of over Rs. 1.72 billion.
The blockbuster film already breaks several records before achieving this milestone, including being the most-watched South Asian film in Norway.
The second-highest-grossing UK film in the subcontinent for 2022.
The Legend of Maula Jatt is one of the biggest releases ever in Pakistan. It was released worldwide on October 13 on over 500 screens in 25 different territories, including France.
Blockbuster continues to set a new benchmark for Pakistani cinema. It reached Rs. 1.5 billion mark last week.
It is a Punjabi action film starring Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, Hamaima Malik, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Mirza Gohar Rasheed, Ali Azmat, Saima Baloch, and Faris Shafi along with Shafqat Cheema, Nair Ijaz, Resham, etc. Includes car actors Babar Ali, Raheela Agha.
The film is Bilal Lashari’s magnum opus and is a hard reboot of the 1979 classic Maula Jatt.
