The mega budget and mega cast film ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ set a new history in Pakistani cinema by earning Rs 80 crore in the first week of its release. It is the first film to earn a record in a week.
‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ releases last week on October 13 worldwide including Pakistan. The film screens on around 1000 screens across the world.
The film has earn a new record by earning Rs 10 crore on its first day of release. While the film makes a new history by earning Rs 50 crore in just 5 days.

Till date in the history of Pakistani cinema, no film ever earns 50 crore rupees in five days. While now this film earns another record by earning 80 crore rupees in a single week.
The post on the official Instagram of ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ about the film’s one-week earnings stats that the film has earn more than 360 million US Dollars or 800 million Pakistani Rupees worldwide.
The film make the highest earnings from the local box office i.e. Pakistan. The film earns around 1 million US dollars in a single week from the country. The second number film distributed money from the Gulf countries.
After grossing Rs 80 crore in a single week, the film earns more than its budget. The reports suggesting that the film make in budget of Rs. 50-60 crore.
It is also the most expensive film in Pakistan, as no film has ever cost so much to make.
After the film’s record grossing, the team announces that it will now be screen in 100 more screens worldwide.
‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ also has the distinction of being shown on more screens abroad than in Pakistan.

Two days ago, the film’s distributor, Nadeem Mandviwala, says that the film cost a lot of money to make, due to which tickets are sold as high as Rs 200 in the first week of the film’s release in the country.
The film is a remake of the 1979 film ‘Maula Jatt’, starring Hamza Ali Abbasi, Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan and Humima Malik among others, directed by Bilal Lashari and produced by Amara Hekmat.
