RAWALPINDI: Opposition parties have demanded an explanation from the military authorities regarding the current political situation in the country.
According to a Private News Channel, Pakistan Army spokesman Major General Babar Iftikhar said that the position of the Armed Forces is the same as stated in the statement of the National Security Committee.
It may be recalled that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had sought an explanation from the Pakistan Army spokesman for the meeting of the National Security Committee.
He also sought clarification from the Foreign Office and the Ministry of Defense and said that former Prime Minister Imran Khan should justify his coup.
The Pakistan Army spokesman will explain whether the 197 members of the National Assembly were declared traitors in the National Security Committee meeting. Imran Khan’s ego is not more important than Pakistan.
He questioned whether the Foreign Office or the Ministry of Defense could bring to light official correspondence regarding the external conspiracy between March 7 and 27.
Certainly this level of conspiracy should be exposed through our own intelligence agencies instead of diplomatic correspondence .
In response, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Fawad Chaudhry slammed Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for seeking clarification from the National Security Committee (NSC). So you will suffer a lot, we are still very quiet, consider it a plunder.
