The young Pakistani became the youngest climber to climb the world’s 3rd highest peak

Shehroze Kashif, a 26-year-old Pakistani man, made history by climbing the world’s third-highest Kanchenjunga peak at 8,586 meters in Nepal, becoming the world’s youngest and the country’s first climber.

According to the media reports, Shehroze Kashif from Lahore participated in the campaign organized by Seven Summit Tracks along with Namja Bhutti from Nepal, Purnima Shrestha, Ming Temba Sherpa, Rudy Boliart from Belgium and Arenzol Cholonbatar from Mongolia.

It may be recalled that Shehroze Kashif also has the honor of being the world’s youngest climber to climb the world’s highest peak Mount Everest at 8,849 meters and the world’s second highest peak K-2 at 8,611 meters.

Qarar Haidari, secretary of the Alpine Club of Pakistan, said that the Kanchenjunga peak was reported by Shehroze on Thursday at 3:05 PM PST.

Organizers said that from logistics to base camp arrangements and information exchange arrangements, Shehroze, unlike other climbers who had the services of a manager, did everything alone.

He said that climber Shehroze Kashif had reached the base camp of Kanchenjunga on April 15.

He was congratulated on this achievement by Alpine Club Pakistan and Pakistani climbers.

Sarbaz Khan of Gilgit-Baltistan had launched his second expedition to the Kanchenjunga peak on Thursday this week. Earlier, he had set up a base camp at 5,500 meters on April 5.

Saad Munawar, the moderator of the Pakistani campaign Kanchenjunga 2022, told that Sarbaz Khan and other members of his team had started the summit on April 27.

He said that due to heavy snowfall and inclement weather, they are running late so now they have to return to base camp. He added that the team had planned to reach the summit today.
