Actress Veena Malik Saturday approached Karachi court for the return of dowry items and gifts from her ex-husband Asad Bashir, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Rendering to particulars, former husband Asad Bashi made a party in the petition.
The petition specified the petitioner (Veena Malik) married to Asad Bashir on December 25, 2014, addition that throughout the marriage, two children, Abram Khan and Amal Khan, were born.
According to appeal, the petitioner had separated from Asad Bashir on January 26, 2017.
The petition said: “Asad Bashir is an influential man so we have moved from Rawalpindi to Karachi”.
The petition specified that Asad Bashir gifts of Veena Malik, which gifted to her from friends, adding that the gifts traditional by Veena Malik worth more than Rs20m.
Rendering to petition, Asad Bashir previous said he return all the items, but now Asad Bashir saying that all the items stolen.
The court sought evidence from the petitioner at the next hearing and the additional hearing of the case adjourned till July 9.
Meanwhile, the lawyer of Asad Bashir, Abid Hassan Kiani said: “We have filed a request for action against Veena Malik.
It is pertinent to note that actress Veena Malik has filed the petition in the name of Zahida Malik.
