Virat Kohli hits landmark century on his birthday

On his 35th birthday, Virat Kohli, the famous batsman of the Indian cricket team, scored his 49th century and equaled the world record for scoring the most centuries.

In the World Cup match played in Kolkata, against South Africa, Virat Kohli equaled the record of 49 centuries in ODI matches. He scored a century in 119 balls with the help of 10 fours.

Virat Kohli scored his 49th career century against South Africa in his 289th match. He scored more than 13600 runs in 289 matches, including 49 centuries and 71 fifties.

It should be noted that before him Sachin Tendulkar of India had made a record of scoring 49 centuries in 463 matches. Sachin Tendulkar was the highest scorer in ODIs with 18426 runs, including 49 centuries, 96 fifties.
