White House National Security Council Spokesperson Adrienne Watson called the attack on worshipers an unforgivable act.
He further said that the sad and heartbreaking news has come out from Peshawar, expressing condolences to the bereaved families for the loss of precious human lives.
The White House spokesman said that terrorism is indefensible, targeting worshipers is an irresponsible act. White House expressed regret over Peshawar blast.
Adrian Watson further said that the US is ready to assist Pakistan in its rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts.

It should note that 100 people martyred and more than 140 injured in a suicide blast in a mosque inside police lines in Peshawar. The injured are undergoing treatment in various hospitals.
A deadly blast at a mosque in Peshawar on Monday killed at least 61 people and injured about 157 in the latest attack on the city in northwestern Pakistan, according to Peshawar Police Chief Muhammad Aizaz Khan. A rescue operation is now underway at the mosque, which locates inside the police compound. And is attended by mostly law enforcement personnel.
