World Cup: Pakistan again secured 5th position on points table

ICC World Cup, Pakistan once again secured the fifth position on the points table by defeating Bangladesh. The Bangladeshi team was eliminated from the semi-final race.

In Kolkata, the Green Shirts showed their game, got the ball rolling and restricted Bangladesh to a few runs first. Then improved their run-rate by reaching the target in 33 overs and once again secured the fifth position in the table.

Indian team is at the top position with 12 points. South Africa is second with the best run rate. If they lose their next three matches as well, it looks difficult for their run rate to go into minus. New Zealand have eight points from six matches.

In World Cup Pakistan has hopes with South Africa and New Zealand. New Zealand defeat can benefit Pakistan as the green shirts’ next match will be against New Zealand.

In case of defeat, New Zealand will have to win that match with a better run rate to advance to the semi-finals. It is also expected that Australia loses two of their next three matches. But Australia has to play England, Afghanistan and Bangladesh, of which they are capable of winning at least two matches.

Indian journalists spoke about delay in Pakistani journalists visas

If Afghanistan beats Australia, it will also benefit Pakistan, but in such a case, Afghanistan can also get ten points by winning five matches as their next match is against Netherlands.

We have to pray that Netherlands will beat Afghanistan, but before that, Pakistan will have to beat New Zealand and England. Play bravely because fortune favors the brave.
