Zafar Abbas to be honored with Tamgha-i-Imtiaz Award. President Arif Alvi presented awards to 304 Pakistani and foreigners on August 14, 2023, Independence Day, in recognition of their significant contributions to society.

The official award presentation, however, set for Pakistan Day, March 23, 2024. Syed Zafar Abbas Jafri is one of the 118 recipients of the Tamgha-i-Imtiaz Award.

The Tamgha-i-Imtiaz Award given to Syed Zafar Abbas Jafri for his significant contributions to society as the founder of the Jafriya Disaster Management Cell Welfare Organization (JDC). Zafar Abbas raised in a modest family in Karachi and a force for progress.

He has discovered practical solutions to significant social problems through his organization, JDC, particularly in the areas of healthcare and education. He has had a long-lasting effect by addressing the problems faced by those who are less fortunate.
