The Ruwit-e-Hilal Committee has announced that the moon of Zil-Hajj has not been seen, therefore Eid-ul-Adha will be on Sunday, July 10, 2022.
The meeting of Central Route Hilal Committee was held in Karachi under the chairmanship of Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad.
Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad said that evidence of sighting of Zil-Hajj moon has not been received from anywhere in the country and the first Zil-Hajj will take place on July 1, 2022.
He said that Eid-ul-Adha would be celebrated on Sunday, July 10, 2022.
No evidence of sighting of Zil-Hajj moon was received from anywhere in the country including Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta and it was decided unanimously after no evidence was received from anywhere in the country.
It should be noted that Eid-ul-Fitr was held on May 3, 2022 and a meeting of the Central Route Hilal Committee was held on May 1, after which Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad said that no credible evidence of Shawwal moon sighting was received from any part of Pakistan. Eid-ul-Fitr in the country will be on Tuesday, May 3.
Maulana Syed Abdul Khabir Azad said that we are trying to further strengthen the committee as a platform of unity and solidarity and carry forward the message of this unity while we will continue to strive to move forward together.
It may be recalled that last year Eid-ul-Adha was celebrated on July 21, 2021.
