World first woman cricketer statue unveiled. Belinda Clarke is the world’s first woman cricketer to have a statue made.

According to Australian media, the statue of Australian woman cricketer Belinda Clarke is decorates at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

The Sydney Cricket Ground precinct has a tradition of having statues of famous personalities. Therefore, Belinda Clarke’s statue, playing a lively pull shot at mid-wicket, erected at the Members’ Gate.

It should remember that Belinda Clark led the Australian women’s cricket team for 12 years. She is the first cricketer to score a double century in ODI cricket. She played 15 Tests and 118 ODI matches.

Belinda Jane Clarke AO (born 10 September 1970) is a former Australian cricketer and sports administrator.

A right-handed batsman, she served as captain of the national women’s team for eleven years and was a member of the World Cup-winning campaigns in 1997 and 2005.
