A larger bench of the Islamabad High Court will today hear Imran Khan disqualification plea for not disclosing in the nomination papers of PTI chairman’s alleged daughter Tyrian Jade White.
The larger bench consists of Chief Justice Amir Farooq, Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani and Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir will hear Imran Khan disqualification plea.
The petition by Shahri Muhammad Sajid has accused former Prime Minister Imran Khan of not disclosing the details of his alleged daughter Terian Jade White in his nomination papers for the 2018 general elections.
He also requested the court to disqualify Khan under Article 62(i)(f) of the Constitution.
It may be mentioned here that the IHC decided to transfer the case to a larger bench after objections were raised against the single-member bench.
On February 1, the PTI chairman filed a plea seeking dismissal of the disqualification petition filed against him in the IHC for allegedly “hiding” his daughter in the nomination papers.
Imran Khan taken his stand in written statement before the single member bench that this application filed in the context of Mianwali seat, Election Commission has de-notified Mianwali seat.
Imran Khan had said that he was no longer a member of the assembly, so the petition was no longer admissible.
