According to reports, the scent in soap can make humans a more attractive target for them.

In a research in this regard, it has been revealed that mosquitoes are attracted to soap. But not all soaps are such that they come to humans.

The peer-reviewed study published in the journal iScience found that using some soaps that alter a person’s odor profile attracts them, while other soaps keep them away.

What soap mosquitoes hate?

Washing with Dove and Simple Truth increased the attractiveness of some volunteers. While local soaps tended to repel them. One of the chemicals associated with withdrawal is the coconut flavoring key ingredient in American bourbon.

According to experts, coconut oil acts as a natural mosquito repellent.

Does Dettol keep mosquitoes away?

A homemade lotion of Dettol and olive oil works. But not products containing DEET (diethyl tolomide) as well. A cream containing DEET is known to be most effective.

Experts also say that the easiest way to avoid mosquito is to wear light-colored clothes because mosquitoes are more attracted to dark-colored clothes.
