May 9: Imran Khan reacts to PTI Leaders’ exodus. Following the May 9 incidents, in which military installations, including Corps Commander House in Lahore, attacked, former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan reacted to the exodus of party leaders, ARY News reported on Tuesday. 

The former premier, who also left the PTI. After the May 9 riots, described the exodus of PTI leaders as a “forced divorce” on Twitter.

We had all heard about forced marriages in Pakistan. But Imran Khan claimed in a tweet that the PTI was now experiencing forced divorces.

The PTI leader added, “I’m also wondering where have all the human rights organizations in the nation vanished.”

It is important to note that a number of PTI lawmakers and members have left the party in the wake of the May 9 violence. Which saw attacks on military facilities including the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi and the Corps Commander House in Lahore following the arrest of the party’s chairman Imran Khan.

Shireen Mazari, a former minister for human rights, and Fayyaz ul Hassan Chohan, a former minister for Punjab, both left the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) earlier in the day over the violence of May 9.
