NAB re-arrests Pervaiz Elahi after release. According to News, after his release from Adiala Jail, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) re-arrested former Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi on Monday.
Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi released from Adiala Jail today after his detention under the MPO came to an end.
He however taken into custody by the NAB for failing to give the accountability bureau information in the assets beyond means case against him, his son Monis Elahi, and other family members.
According to NAB sources, Moonis Elahi is also the subject of an investigation into the case involving excessive assets.
Former chief minister Pervaiz Elahi taken from Adiala Jail by a team from NAB Lahore to appear before the session court in Rawalpindi for transit remand.

According to NAB sources, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi sent to Lahore on transit remand. He will appear before Duty Judge Khalid Hayat, where the Rawalpindi-based NAB prosecution team will ask for his transit remand.
Rafay Maqsood, the NAB prosecutor, will make his case for the transit remand.
