IHC orders to transfer Chairman PTI Imran Khan to Adiala Jail

The Islamabad High Court ordered the transfer of the Chairman PTI Imran Khan detained in the cipher case to Adiala Jail.

Chief Justice Amir Farooq heard the request of Chairman PTI regarding prison facilities in the Supreme Court.

During the hearing, Chief Justice Islamabad High Court inquired that Chairman PTI is an under-trial prisoner in the Cipher case. Aall the under-trial prisoners in Islamabad are in Adiala Jail. Why the under-trial prisoner kept in Attock Jail instead of Adiala?

He was kept in Attock Jail in the Tosha Khana case, that sentence has been suspended.

The court sought the response of Additional Attorney General Manoor Iqbal Dogal on the matter.

The Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court said that according to the law, the undertrial prisoner of Islamabad should be in Adiala Jail. So shift PTI Chairman Imran Khan to Adiala Jail.

Sher Afzal Marwat Advocate requested that chairman PTI should given the facility of exercise machine.

Chief Justice Islamabad High Court said that it informed that now AB and C class in the jail has ended.

Barrister Salman Safdar, the lawyer of Chairman PTI, said that now there is a normal and better class in the jail. He entitled to a better class.

Justice Amir Farooq said that it is settled that Chairman PTI is entitled to a better class. He is a former Prime Minister and an educated person. Therefore, he should get what he entitled according to the jail rules. There should not be any loss of rights of Chairman PTI.
