Indian musician stole another Pakistani song

Bollywood chocolaty hero Ranbir Kapoor and his wife Alia Bhatt‘s upcoming movie ‘Brahmastra’ song ‘Kesariya’ is a copy of an old Pakistani song ‘Laarree Chootee’.

‘Kesariya’ was released a day earlier on July 17, sung by Arjit Singh and starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.

The music of the said song is composed by renowned composer Pritam while its lyrics are penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya.

As soon as ‘Kesariya’ was released, users took to social media to accuse the song of stealing the lyrics, claiming that its lyrics were stolen from the old Pakistani song ‘Laarree Chootee’.

Most of the users criticized the Indian composer and the film team by sharing the audio of the songs of ‘Kesariya’ and ‘Laarree Chootee’ together.

Some people mentioned music composer Pritam for stealing the lyrics of a Pakistani song, while others mentioned the team of the film ‘Brahmastra’.

Users criticized the Indian musician and wrote that he tried to sell an old Pakistani song to a new rapper.

The Indian musician copied the old Pakistani song ‘Laarree Chootee’, which was released two decades ago by a band called ‘Call’, sung and composed by renowned musician Zulfiqar Jabbar Khan aka Zulfi.

‘Laarree Chootee’ was so popular that it was included in the 2007 Bollywood film ‘Ek Chalis Ki Last Local’, starring Abhay Deol, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Neha Dhupia.

‘Laarree Chootee’ was made into a Bollywood film and was shot in the context of Mumbai, but at that time a Pakistani musician was credited.

But now musician Pritam has stolen his lyrics and made a new song ‘Kesariya’ on it, which as soon as it was released people accused him of stealing the lyrics.

This is not the first time that an Indian musician has stolen the lyrics of a Pakistani song, but Indian singers have done it many times before.

In the past, Indian musicians have not only stolen the lyrics of Pakistani songs, but they have also stolen entire Pakistani songs and sung them with slight changes.
