Former Indian cricketer and Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu will be released from jail today after 10 months.
According to Indian media, the release of 59-year-old Navjot Singh has reported through his Twitter account.
According to Indian media, Navjot Singh Sidhu sentenced to one year in prison by the Supreme Court in the 1988 road rage case.

As per Indian media, the road rage case involved an allegation that on 27 December 1988, Sidhu had punched Gurnam Singh on the head, killing him.
According to reports, Navjot Singh sentenced to one year imprisonment in May last year.
The Supreme Court of India imposed a fine of 1000 rupees on Sidhu and released him. But the family of the person who died filed a review petition in which he was convicted.
Navjot Singh Sidhu is an Indian National Congress politician, television personality and retired international cricketer. He is the former President of Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee. Formerly, he was the Minister of Tourism and Cultural Affairs in the state government of State of Punjab.
It is not clear what role the Congress will assign to the former cricketer after his release from jail. Before the assembly elections, the party leadership had named Chiranjeet Singh Chani as its chief ministerial face, ignoring Navjot Sidhu, who was then the party’s chief ministerial face.
