The Maleficent actor is enjoying her time in New York City, an insider told In Touch Weekly, adding that she hasn’t appeared “this content in years.”
The Hollywood beauty has “turned over a new leaf and is thriving,” according to the insider, after going through a difficult and highly public split from the Fight Club alum.
The source explained how difficult it for Jolie to move on after her heartbreaking divorce, saying “Angelina stuck in a rut during the drawn-out divorce.”
“She gets pigeonholed as moody and difficult. But that’s because she going through a lot of heartache and healing,” the insider added.
The source continued by saying that Vivienne, 15, and Pax, 19, are Jolie’s children, and that she enjoys “having grown-up conversations with them over dinner.”
They are, however, old enough to be largely independent, so the outlet reported that she is putting herself out there, working on other initiatives like her clothing line and establishing new connections.
She endured emotional and physical abuse at the hands of Pitt, so she is still hesitant to enter the dating world.

Men and women are lining up to date her, the insider said. “There’s no shortage of interest.” She finds it terrifying after everything she went through with Brad, but she’s willing to try.
“Angie was always good at reinventing herself, and she’s finally in a good place, emotionally and creatively, to do that again,” the source concluded. “She’s living her best life.”
