Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz dispels cancer rumors

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has said that “the rumors of her having cancer are false”. She has a parathyroid problem which can be treated only in Switzerland and America.

The British broadcasting organization BBC said in its report on parathyroid disease that according to two Pakistani doctors whose names are not being published, the treatment of parathyroid disease is available in every major city of Pakistan.

However, in this news, which was updated a few hours later, an American doctor, Mateen Hotiana, told the BBC that the basic surgery for this disease is possible in Pakistan, but the new surgery introduced in major countries of the world is Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) currently not possible in Pakistan.

She said that this facility of modern surgery is available only in America and some big countries.
