Former goalkeeper of Saudi football franchise Al-Nasr, Walid Abdullah, has revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo wants to convert to Islam.
News about Cristiano Ronaldo’s interest in converting to Islam often circulates on social media.
Now, former Al-Nasr goalkeeper Walid Abdullah has confirmed the news in an interview, saying that Cristiano Ronaldo genuinely wants to convert to Islam.
He said that I once talked to Cristiano Ronaldo about converting to Islam, and he expressed interest.
Walid Abdullah said that he has even prostrated himself on the field after scoring a goal once and always encourages Muslim players to pray and follow other Islamic teachings.
He said that as soon as the call to prayer is heard during a training session, Cristiano Ronaldo asks to stop the training session out of respect for the call to prayer.
Walid Abdullah said that I was close to Cristiano Ronaldo in the beginning because he was not familiar with the country’s culture, clubs, or other aspects, so he often asked me for details in this regard.
He said that regardless of whether Ronaldo converts to Islam or not, he has reached this point because of the humility and discipline inherent in his personality.
Walid Abdullah also said that everyone who meets Cristiano Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia admires him.
