EU: Holy Quran desecration in Sweden a clear act of provocation. Desecrating a copy of the holy Quran or any other holy book is offensive, disrespectful, and blatantly provocative, according to the EU, which made this statement on Saturday.
The comments made after a man last Wednesday, while protected by police, vandalized a holy Quran in front of a mosque in Stockholm.
The desecration timed to occur during the worldwide Muslim holiday known as Eid al-Adha.
