First digital census across the country

The first digital census has started across the country including Islamabad and Lahore.

The Chief Census Commissioner Dr. Naeem Al Zafar inaugurated the census in capital Islamabad.

Chief Census Commissioner Dr. Naeem Al-Zafar said that the digital census has started across the country today, on January 13, 2022, the Common Interests Council had ordered the digital census.

He said that all the provinces related to the census were taken on board. After one month the results of the census data will be given to the nation.

Lahore, Deputy Commissioner started the census from his house

In Lahore, Deputy Commissioner Rafia Haider started the digital census by registering from her home. However she visited different areas along with the census teams.

DC Lahore Rafia Haider said that the first phase of census will be from 1st to 15th March. Then listing of houses from 1st to 3rd March, registration from 4th to 15th March. Second phase of census will be from 16th March to 1st April.

Rafia Haider says that the listing of March 16 to 18 blocks will registered from March 18 to April 1. Lahore divided into 873 census circles, 8 thousand 68 census blocks containing 200 to 250 houses created.

She says that there are 200 to 250 houses in each block, therefore 4,707 tablets distributed for data entry.

Launch of digital census in Faisalabad

The first digital census launched in Faisalabad.

Faisalabad Commissioner Salut Saeed said that the citizens should fulfill their national responsibility by registering themselves in the census and cooperate with the census staff.

The seventh census in Balochistan has started today

Director of Statistics Institute Muhammad Sohaib says that the seventh census started today across Balochistan. Census conducted for the first time in the country. All arrangements and preparations related to Census are complete.

Muhammad Sohib says that the process of digital census will continue till April 1, during which the enumerators will go from house to house to collect data.

Therefore, he said that 11 thousand 857 blocks have been constructed in Balochistan regarding house and census.
