Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has approved a major reduction in the price of petrol and petroleum products.
According to sources from Islamabad, petrol was reduced by 10 rupees per liter while diesel was reduced by 13 rupees by 6 paisa per liter.
According to sources, kerosene has been reduced by Rs 11 15 paise per liter and the price of light diesel oil has been reduced by Rs 12.12 paisa.
The Ministry of Finance has also issued a price reduction notification according to which the new prices will be applicable from noon tonight.
The new price of petrol has been set at Rs 249.10 paisa per liter, while the new price of diesel is Rs 249.69 paisa per liter.
The new price of kerosene oil has been set at Rs 158.47 paisa per liter while the new price of light diesel oil is Rs 141.93 paise per liter.
