Federal Finance Minister Miftah Ismail has said that the IMF wants to slow down the country’s economy. This is to reduce inflation, for which we have to raise interest rates.
This statement was given by Muftah Ismail on his arrival in Karachi. Muftah Ismail said that if the price was increased today under the agreement of Imran Khan and Shaukat Tareen with the IMF, then diesel would increase by Rs 150 and petrol will increase by Rs 100.
He said that before coming to power, the deficit was estimated at Rs. 1300 billion.
Shaukat Tareen made a wrong statement.
He said that previous government did not left any amount for subsidy of electricity and petroleum products.
