Imran Khan challenges PEMRA ban notification. Earlier Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf chairman challenged the PEMRA notification to ban his live speeches telecast in LHC.

According to details, the appeal filed by Ahmed Pansota and Ishtiaq A Khan said that. The PEMRA announcement is a violation of Article 10(A) as the constitution of Pakistan gives the right to free speech.

The Imran Khan Counsel took that PEMRA has banned Khan at the direction of the government. He called all the PEMRA claims baseless and they have no authority to ban an individual from the live show.

Moreover, the appeal stated that the PEMRA order is a violation of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) verdict.

Previously, the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) imposed a ban on airing ‘live and recorded’ speeches and press conferences of earlier prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman on all satellite TV channels with speedy effect.
