A TikTok video made rounds on social media, which showed Canadian pop star Justin Bieber and his supermodel wife Hailey Bieber talking about their view on fasting in Ramazan. Which many users took as an offense, including Indian actor Gauahar Khan.
Upon being asked about his stance on fasting, Justin said, “I gotta really think about that, I have never really done it. I think our bodies need nutrition to think properly.”
Adding to what Justin had to say, Hailey said, “Fasting off food never really made sense to me. If you want fast from the TV, or your phone, I think I believe in that more, but fasting from food never really made sense to me. If you are fasting sweets or fasting sugar, that clicks to me.” She then concluded by saying, “We’re totally like yeah, that’s why you are stupid!”
Gauahar, who herself is fasting in the holy month of Ramazan, recently took to her social media platform to criticize Justin and Hailey’s “dumb” comments on fasting. Adding that they should “get an education.”
On Friday, the Big Boss star shared a screenshot of the TikTok video on her Instagram Story. “Just proves how dumb they are. Only if they knew about the science behind it. And the health benefits from it! Get an education,” she wrote while tagging Justin and Hailey’s Instagram handles. “It’s okay to have an opinion. But, be intelligent enough to put them forth correctly,” concluded Gauahar.
Sharing the story on the photo and video sharing platform Instagram, actress Ayesha Omar urged her fans to inform Justin Bieber and his wife Hailey Bieber about the benefits of fasting.
