Locals dominant persons in Larkana locked the Government Girls Middle School of Shahdadkot, demanding that the government provide them jobs as the school land was their property, reported News on Wednesday.
The women teachers and girl students could not enter the school, and they protested in contradiction of the forced closure of the school.
“The school has been forcibly locked by the influential people of the village,” Headmistress Hajal Selro said.
“These influential people claim that the school land is their personal property, and they should be given jobs,” she added.
“We are not being allowed to open the school from August 1. More than 100 girl students are being deprived of their right to education,” she criticized.
“The closure of the school has been reported to the school education authorities,” she specified.
“The school should be opened soon, and an action should be taken against those responsible,” the girl students claimed.
