In pursuit of the target, Imam-ul-Haq scored 50. Agha Salman remained not out by scoring 6 runs on behalf of the national team.
Pakistan team captain Babar Azam got out with 24 runs. Saud Shakeel got out with 30 runs while Sarafraz Ahmed returned to the pavilion with only one run.
Abdullah Shafiq was out for 8, Shaan Masood for 7 and Nouman Ali for zero.
On behalf of Sri Lanka, Prabhat Jayasuriya took 4 wickets and Ramesh Mendis took one wicket while Pakistan got one run out.
Pakistan took a 0-1 lead in the two-Test series.
Middle-order batsman Saud Shakeel was awarded the player of the match award for his outstanding batting in the Test match.
Opener Imamul Haq started the fifth day’s play with 25 and captain Babar Azam with 6 runs.
Chasing a target of 131 runs, Pakistan had scored 48 runs for the loss of 3 wickets by the end of the fourth day’s play.

In the second innings, Sri Lanka bowled out for 279 runs, giving Pakistan a target of 131 runs to win.

Dhananjaya De Silva was the top scorer for Sri Lanka, playing a key role in his team’s 82-run innings to take a remarkable lead.
On behalf of Pakistan, Noman Ali and Abrar Ahmed dismissed three players each while Agha Salman and Shaheen Shah Afridi took two wickets each.
Pakistan’s first innings
In the first innings, Pakistan team bowled out for 461 runs. Middle order batsman Saud Shakeel played an unbeaten innings of 208 runs, with which the national team got a lead of 149 runs over the home team.
For Sri Lanka, Ramesh Mendis took 5 wickets. Prabhat Jayasuriya dismissed three players while Kisun Rajitha and Vishwa Fernando guided a batter to the pavilion each.
Sri Lanka’s first innings
It should noted that despite losing early wickets, the Sri Lankan team posted a total of 312 on the board in the first innings.
Dhananjaya de Silva was the top scorer for the host team with 122 runs.
Sri Lanka’s Angelo Mathews scored 64 while Sudira Samarawakarma scored 36 runs.
