Pakistani students develop Drone Ambulance. Sumaya Bhutto and Tohftul-Nisa Mirani, two students at Shah Abdul Latif University in Khairpur, have created a drone ambulance prototype to aid flood victims.
The final-year physics students displayed their working prototype at the yearly Science Expo. Their objective was to use drone technology to enhance medical services.
The drone ambulance is made to access places that are inaccessible to people during floods. It can provide stranded people with first aid and essential medications. Additionally, it can locate people who require help.
A laptop or mobile device is used to remotely control the drone. It has a strong 1000 KV motor that enables it to run at a speed of 70 meters per hour for 30 to 40 minutes. The drone has a built-in first aid kit and can carry up to 30 kg of weight.
The drone is called an “air ambulance” because it can deliver aid, according to Sumaya Bhutto. She added that the carrying capacity of the drone could be significantly increased by using stronger motors.
