Petrol prices increased Rs 14.9 per litre

Petrol prices increased Rs 14.9 per litre. According to a notification released by the Finance Ministry on Friday, the caretaker government raised the cost of gasoline by Rs 14.9 per litre.

Details indicate that the cost of gasoline has increased by Rs 14.9 per liter to Rs 305.36 per litre.

High-speed diesel (HSD) is now available for Rs311.84 per litre after an increase of Rs18.44.

The price of gasoline increased on August 16 by Rs17.50 per litre to Rs290.45, while the price of high-speed diesel increased to Rs293.40. Prior to this, on August 1, the federal government had raised the cost of gasoline by Rs19.95 per litre.

It is important to note that the interim International Monetary Fund (IMF) agreements do not allow for additional subsidies, according to caretaker Finance Minister Dr. Shamshad Akhtar.

Now, the price for one liter of petrol is 305 rupees. According to Dr. Shamshad Akhtar, the IMF program was “non-negotiable” because the interim administration “inherited” it. She continued by saying that the current agreements forbid the inclusion of additional subsidies.

She emphasized that the current administration planned to develop a thorough plan to support the country’s economic health.

The minister emphasized that the government was working to maintain a stable exchange rate between the rupee, the country’s currency, and the dollar.
