Shaheen Afridi likely to be captain for Pak-Afghan T20 series

This month Pak-Afghan T20 series will played in Sharjah. Pakistan Cricket Board is planning to give opportunity to new players for this series.

PCB decided to try out the young and talented players who have excelled in the PSL 2023 T20 cricket.

The 3-match T20 series against Afghanistan will played in Sharjah on March 24, 26 and 27. However, National Selection Committee Chairman Haroon Rasheed will announce the squad in the next few days.

However, it has proposed to rest many players including captain Babar Azam, wicket-keeper Mohammad Rizwan in the Pak-Afghan T20 series.

While there is a strong possibility that the responsibility of leading the team will given to left-arm fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi.

It should remembered that in the PSL, Shaheen Shah Afridi has shown excellent skills as a captain for Lahore Qalandars.

Three wicket keepers Haseebullah (Peshawar Zalmi), Azam Khan (Islamabad United) and Mohammad Haris (Peshawar Zalmi) expected to included in the Pakistan squad for the T20 series against Afghanistan.

Apart from this, there is a strong possibility of returning the national team of Karachi Kings captain Imad Wasim along with Saeem Ayub of Peshawar Zalmi, fast bowler Ehsanullah of Multan Sultans and all-rounder Faheem Ashraf of Islamabad United. Who gained everyone’s attention with their excellent performance in Pakistan Super League 2023.
