Shaheen Afridi’s comeback, excited to participate in T20 World Cup

Pakistan team’s legendary fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi recovers from injury. He is excited to represent the national team in the T20 World Cup.

PCB issues a statement that Shaheen Shah Afridi will join the national squad in Brisbane on October 15. After rehabilitation under the supervision of the PCB Advisory Panel in London.

The PCB says that Afridi will be present for Pakistan’s warm-up matches. These matches will be against England and Afghanistan on October 17 and 19. While his match fitness should examine by the team management.

Its recall, fast bowler Shaheen Afridi rules out of the recent T20 Asia Cup and T20 home series against England. The medical panel advise him to rest for 4 to 6 weeks. This injury happened to his right knee during the Test series in Sri Lanka.

Shaheen says that he is “excited to rejoin the national squad for the T20 World Cup”. Where he will play his part.

Afridi adds that it was a difficult time for me to be away from my favorite game and team. During this time I could not play many exciting matches.

He also says that he is doing 6 to 8 overs at a fast pace every day for the last 10 days. But he does not feel any pain.

He also says that of course he is bowling and batting in the net. But there is no substitute for the atmosphere and spirit of the match. So he can’t wait any longer to return to that atmosphere.

He says that this period of recovery from injury was tough and difficult for him. But he enjoyed it like a professional player.

He further states that the fact is that he is feeling better than ever and can’t wait any longer to wear his playing kit.

He thanks PCB’s Medical Advisory Committee and Football Club Crystal Palace FC for allowing him to use all the facilities and taking good care of him during his recovery from injury.
