Shehbaz Sharif: elections not possible before October. Prime Minister on Sunday reiterated general elections are not possible in the current unstable economic situation of the country.
He was heading the advisory session of the Pakistan Muslim League-N to talk about the current political crisis in the country and cases being heard at the Supreme Court.
As per the sources, the Prime Minister said that it is hard to hold Punjab and KP elections before October.
“We are trying day and night to fix the country’s economy and will soon control the rising inflation.”
The PM said they believe in creative politics, this is not the time for destructive politics.
Special Assistant to Prime Minister Malik Ahmad Khan, Ayaz Sadiq, Ata Ullah Tarar, Ahad Cheema, and other leaders take part in the meeting held at Model Town Lahore.
The meeting discussed the law and legal aspects of Monday’s hearing in the Supreme Court.
Federal Law Minister Nazir Tarar advise the members about yesterday’s hearing of the apex court.
The meeting also reviewed the legal prospect of the situation created later on the apex court had rejected the government’s request to constitute a full bench to hear the elections’ delay case.
