SIM cards of those who do not submit tax returns be closed or not?

There has been progress in blocking the phone SIM cards of those who do not submit tax returns.

The Federal Board of Revenue’s letter was received by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority on Monday evening through email.

PTA officials say that they will take a decision after reviewing FBR’s letter, a response will be given to FBR’s letter by this evening.

According to the PTA spokesperson, the recent decision of FBR is being considered, and the matter is in touch with the mobile phone operators and concerned stakeholders.

The spokesperson says that any developments on this matter will be informed.
