Skywatchers are in for a treat this March with a five-planet alignment where Jupiter, Mercury, Venus, Uranus and Mars will be visible in the night sky. NASA scientist Bill Cook told CBS News that the planets will align in the night sky on March 28, and the alignment will look “pretty beautiful.”
A true planetary alignment took place in June last year when Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn aligned in the sky. This was the first time in the last eighteen years that the alignment had been truly aligned, and such an event would not actually occur for another forty years.
Experts further said that most of the ternaries will be visible to the naked eye. But some planets will not be visible without binoculars.
