Laughter reduces unhealthy cholesterol

Laughter has positive effects on a person’s health, even it can be helpful in protecting a person from heart diseases.

According to The Heart Foundation, laughter has the same health benefits as any cardiovascular exercise.

In the research conducted in this regard, it has been revealed that laughing improves the heart rate of a person and burns as many calories from the body as walking.

Laughter reduces bad cholesterol from the body while increasing good cholesterol.

During the research, the positive effects of laughing for half an hour every day for a year were observed in diabetic patients suffering from excess cholesterol.

At the end of the year, a 26% increase in useful cholesterol was observed in these diabetic patients.

Laughter reduces the stress on a person’s mind, which dilates blood vessels and lowers blood pressure.

A study conducted at the University of Maryland Medical Center also found that laughing causes the arteries to release nitric oxide, which causes the arteries to dilate.

Nitric oxide is also associated with reduced inflammation and the formation of clots in arteries.

Another study in this regard, conducted at the University of Texas, also revealed a link between humorous videos and the immediate elasticity of the arteries.
