Tuba Anwar’s Reaction on Amir Liaquat’s Exhumation Order

Leading TV anchorperson and National Assembly member Dr. Amir Liaquat Hussain, who passed away this month, has also come out with his second ex-wife Syeda Tuba Anwar’s stand against the decision of exhumation and postmortem.

A local court in Karachi had ordered the exhumation of Amir Liaquat Hussain on June 18 at the request of a citizen, under which a six-member team headed by police surgeon Dr Samia Saeed has been formed.

An order issued by the police surgeon’s office said that the team would leave the office of the police surgeon at 9 am on Thursday, June 23 in the presence of Judicial Magistrate East for exhumation at the premises of Abdullah Shah Ghazi shrine.

Reacting to this, Syeda Tobia Anwar, ex-wife of Dr. Amir Liaquat Hussain, wrote on social networking site Twitter last night: ‘ “More than a week after his death, exhumation for the post-mortem is extremely painful for the family,” she wrote.

Syeda Tuba Anwar further wrote, “However, I have faith in the will of Allah. I am sure that Allah is the best manager of our affairs.”

At the end of the tweet, she wrote the words of supplication and said, “May Allah create facilities for the deceased and his family.”

Earlier, several showbiz personalities, fans and former and first wife of the late Amir Liaquat Hussain, Dr. Bushra Iqbal had also demanded that the court withdraw the order for exhumation and postmortem of the late Anchor.

Dr. Bushra Iqbal in her post had demanded that her ex-husband’s grave should not be exhumed.

She wrote in his tweet that “even the pure Shariat does not allow this ugly act, dismemberment and exhumation of the dead, Allah is watching everything, so his soul should not be harmed”.

Commenting on the allegations of possible murder of the late anchor person, she said, “According to the external examination of the Civil Surgeon, there were no signs of injuries, fractures and torture on the body of the deceased. From this point of view, postmortem would be pointless.”

Dr. Bushra Iqbal further wrote, “Those who have claimed to have conducted postmortem and brought justice to Amir, where were they when he himself was seeking justice and his honor was tarnished. He was suffering from severe depression due to not being able to travel by plane.

After this post of Dr. Bushra Iqbal, the general fans and showbiz personalities of the late also demanded that the autopsy and exhumation of Amir Liaquat should not be done.

It is to be noted that Amir Liaqat was found unconscious at his residence on June 9 this month.

He was shifted to the hospital but he died before reaching the hospital.

His family had refused to conduct an autopsy at that time, which is why the police had filed a petition in the court, but Amir Liaquat’s children had also refused to conduct an autopsy in the court.

After the refusal of the family, Amir Liaquat was buried on June 10 in the premises of Abdullah Shah Ghazi Shrine without postmortem.
